Prince Jackson told jurors his father wanted more time to rehearse and had several tense phone conversations with promoters of his "This is it" shows that sometimes ended with his father in tears.

Paris, 15, had also been expected to testify during the case but was hospitalized last month and her status as a witness remained unclear. Attorneys for AEG played a snippet of her videotaped deposition last week, and more of her testimony may be played for the jury later in the trial.

Blanket, 11, is not expected to testify.

The jury of six men and six women has learned numerous details about Jackson's role as a father during the case. They've heard about a secret trip to a movie weeks before Michael Jackson's death, a private circus he hired for Paris' 11th birthday, and Blanket's interest in his father's dance rehearsals.

The trial is expected to last several more weeks.

Prince testified his dad was amped over the "This is it" tour but felt he needed more time to rehearse. Apparently, AEG and MJ got into it during phone conversations and the calls made Michael break down in tears.

Prince also testified AEG honcho Randy Phillips came over to the house several times and he saw Phillips aggressively grab Dr. Conrad Murray by the elbow, as if to school him.

Prince got personal and talked about how involved Michael was in his kids' lives -- something that's highly relevant in a wrongful death case in assessing damages. He told the jury about how MJ loved home videos -- one showing Prince on a little car as Paris talked into a mic while "Daddy's Home" (a Jackson 5 song) played in the background.

Prince also said the day MJ went into full cardiac arrest at his home, Paris was screaming that she wanted her daddy. Prince says Dr. Murray announced at the house that MJ was dead from a heart attack.

The point of the testimony -- lawyers for the Jackson family are trying to prove AEG pushed Michael mercilessly and that, combined with Murray's bad medicine, cost MJ his life.

Asked about his relationship with his uncle, TJ Jackson lowered his head and was silent for several seconds.
"He was just everything," he said, wiping away tears.

He described Jackson's youngest son, known by the nickname Blanket, as always wrapped around his father's leg.

Schnoll said Jackson even got a Narcan implant in his abdomen in 2003 that steadily released Naltrexone, a drug that blocks the euphoric effects of opioids.

This (Schnoll's testimony) was putting everything in perspective for the first time in the history of a person who is, by everyone's account, the most successful performer who ever lived. In terms of all kinds of criteria that people measure, he was at the top," Koskoff said.
Koskoff never met Jackson, but said he learned a lot about the legendary music figure in the course of the case, calling him a genius. "He was a composer, a dancer, a producer, a performer, a singer and a perfectionist at everything he did," Koskoff said.

Michael Jackson’s eldest nephew testified Thursday that his uncle was a father figure to him and his brothers who helped them not only with their music, but with life lessons.
“He was definitely our mentor, and everything we did in life we’d kind of gear it toward what he was doing, whether it was music or how he was as a person,” Taj Jackson said during his testimony in the wrongful-death suit his uncle’s mother and three children have brought against AEG Live, the company that was promoting and producing his comeback concerts when he died.

Their uncle encouraged them, but told them they would have to work hard. Taj read one of the many notes Jackson wrote him as a youngster. “I love you all and am proud of you. P.S. please rehearse.”
Taj Jackson said he and his brothers would have been foolish not to ask for their uncle’s musical advice. “He always let us know we could ask him anything about music, whether it’s songwriting or song selection,” he said.
“He was always right.”

He also suggested using a choir that gives the song the feel of “We Are The World.”

“He would constantly tell us we had to carry on the legacy, carry on the torch when he retired,” the nephew said.

Taj Jackson said his uncle was constantly working on new material and was working on an album shortly before he died. “I know he wanted an album to come out,” he said.
Michael Jackson also believed in writing down his goals and posting the notes where he could see them. “What you can conceive and believe you can achieve,” was his motto, the nephew testified.
He said he saw it firsthand for the “Thriller” album. “I saw the note on his mirror, “’Biggest-selling album of all time,’” Taj Jackson said.
“I learned to never underestimate my uncle. When he put his mind to something, it usually happened.”

The Jacksons say in their lawsuit that AEG negligently hired and controlled Conrad Murray, the doctor who gave Michael Jackson the fatal dose of the anesthetic propofol to help him sleep on June 25, 2009. AEG says that the doctor worked for Jackson and that any money the company was supposed to pay Murray was an advance the singer would have to repay.

AEG Live lawyers argue their executives had no way of knowing that Murray -- whom they say Jackson chose and controlled -- was giving him the dangerous infusions in the privacy of Jackson's bedroom to treat his insomnia.
"They were a concert promoter. How could they know?" AEG lead lawyer Marvin Putnam asked during his opening statement 12 weeks ago.

Jackson lawyers argue that AEG Live co-CEO Paul Gongaware -- the top producer of Jackson's "This is it" comeback tour -- should have known the hazards of hiring Murray because of his personal experience with Jackson and his work with other artists, including as a promoter on Elvis Presley's last tour. Gongaware denied in his testimony that he ever knew that Jackson had drug dependency problems while touring.
But video testimony shown to the jury last week contradicts Gongaware's claim. CNN obtained video segments from the deposition of Dr. Stuart Finkelstein, who served as Jackson's doctor during his 1993 "Dangerous" tour, which ended early because the singer entered a drug rehabilitation program.
"I said I think we're going to have a problem," Finkelstein testified that he told Gongaware, who was then serving as a tour manager on the "Dangerous" tour.
Jackson lawyer Kevin Boyle: "Did you tell Mr. Gongaware that you thought Mr. Jackson had a dependency on opiates?"
Finkelstein: "Yes."
Boyle: "And what did Mr. Gongaware say to you?"
Finkelstein: "He said, 'Don't be a Dr. Nick.'"
Boyle: "And by Dr. Nick, was he talking about Elvis?"
Finkelstein: "Yes. He was Elvis' doctor. And I think Elvis died with like 14 different chemicals in his system. And he was kind of warning me that, you know, don't get all infatuated where you start administering meds to a rock star and have the rock star overdose and die on you."
Dr. George Nichopoulos, known as "Dr. Nick," was "the doctor whose overprescription of drugs to Elvis had led to Elvis' death," according to a court filing by Jackson lawyers.
Presley collapsed in the bathroom of Graceland, his Memphis, Tennessee, mansion, on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42. While his death was ruled the result of an irregular heartbeat, the autopsy report was sealed amid accusations that abuse of prescription drugs caused the problem.
Nichopoulos said later he was treating Presley for insomnia. He was charged with overprescribing drugs to Presley, but he was acquitted. He later lost his medical license in another case.
Presley's death came days before he was to begin a new tour organized by the concert promoter Concerts West, the company that gave Gongaware his start in the music industry. One of his jobs was working with Presley in his last years on the road, he testified.

Jackson "needed to be detoxed"
Finkelstein testified that he and Gongaware had discussions about Jackson's use of Demerol, morphine and other opiates during the "Dangerous" tour.
"We thought we needed to do an intervention, that he needed to be detoxed," Finkelstein said.
The tour came to an early and abrupt end when actress Elizabeth Taylor flew to Mexico City to lead an intervention that convinced Jackson to enter a rehab facility in London.
Finkelstein said Gongaware called him again in the spring of 2009 as preparations for Jackson's comeback tour were beginning.
"Hey, Stewie, you may have another chance," the doctor quoted Gongaware as saying. "Michael's doing another tour to London and he's going to want to take a physician."
"Were you interested in going on that tour to London?" Boyle asked.
"Very much so," Finkelstein replied.
Finkelstein said he had five to 10 conversations with Gongaware about the job with Jackson and he offered to take it for $40,000 a month. But Finkelstein, who is now an addiction specialist, said he had one requirement -- that Jackson be clean of drugs.
Instead, Gongaware agreed to pay Murray $150,000 a month to work as Jackson's personal physician.

Drug dependent, not addicted
A drug addiction expert testified earlier this month that there was "not a lot of evidence to support" the belief that Michael Jackson was addicted to drugs, but that he was "drug dependent."
If he was an addict, Jackson "would be taking drugs that were not prescribed by a medical professional, taking larger amounts than prescribed and have drug-seeking behavior," Dr. Sidney Schnoll testified.
Evidence shows Jackson sought drugs from a number of doctors, but that was not inappropriate because he needed them "to treat a legitimate medical problem," including back pain, scalp pain and dermatologic issues, Schnoll testified.
The painkillers that forced Jackson to end his 1993 "Dangerous" tour early so he could enter a rehab program were taken to relieve the pain from scalp surgery needed to repair burns suffered when filming a Pepsi commercial, Schnoll said.
The burns left scars on damaged nerves in his scalp, which becomes "excitable tissue" that "can be firing just like the nerve," he said. The result "can be very painful, like a burning kind of pain -- persistent, sharp, shooting kind of pain," he said. "It's very uncomfortable and one of the most difficult to treat."
Pain relief is a legitimate use of opioid drugs and a person can function normally if they are taken under a doctor's care, he said.
Jackson went from 1993 until 2008 without using Demerol, Schnoll said. The doctor conceded under cross-examination by an AEG Live lawyer, however, that a gap in available medical records may be misleading.
Finkelstein testified that many of his records for Jackson had been lost.
Jackson's use of sedatives was an effort to treat his chronic insomnia, Schnoll said.
If the underlying sleep problem could be resolved, the chances of ending Jackson's use of the drugs would have been good, he said.

Im letzen Teil geht es nochmal um die Aussage Schnolls, der bestätigte, das Michaels gebrauch von Medikamenten nicht illegal war, sondern aus medizinischen Gründen, wegen verschiedener gesundheitlicher Probleme, und dass Michael nicht "süchtig" war sondern zeitweise "abhängig" und von 1993 - 2008 garkein Demerol nahm. (obwohl er dann im Kreuzverhör zugab, dass die medizinischen Aufzzeichnungen aber unvollständig waren.).
Am Anfang vom Artikel steht auch noch, dass Katherine als letze aussahen wird, bevor die Anwälte von AEG ihren Fall präsentieren.

Beim CNN-ARtikel könnte man meinen Finkelsteins Teilnahme als Tourarzt wäre daran gescheitert das Michal nicht clean war. Dabei geht aus der Finkelstein-Deposition hervor das Gongware diese Frage mit Ja beantworet, er hat sich entsprechenden medizin. Tests unterzogen.
Aus der Finkelstein-Depostion geht hervor das er liebend gerne als Michaels Arzt gearbeitet hätte und sein Freund Gongaware ihm gerne die Stelle beschafft hätte, aber er konnte nichts machen, da Michael einen anderen Arzt gewählt habe.

Der Jackson-Experte Erk schätzt das MJ rund 1,1 bis 1,5 Milliarden verdient hätte wenn er eine weltweite Tournee absolviert hätte und eine Las Vegas-Show erschaffen hätte. Erks Schätzungen baiseren weitgehenst darauf dass MJ 37 Monate auf Tournee gegangen wäre und 260 Konzerte absolviert hätte.
AEG-Live-Anwalt Starke befragte Erk im Cross darüber, dass Jackson noch niemals eine solange Tournee gemacht habe und keine Tour mehr seit einen Jahrzehnt gemacht hatte und führte zudem Rechtsstreitigkeiten an, die zur Cancellungen von 3 Ereignissen führten. Erk meinte das spiele keine Rolle. "Er musste arbeiten". Im Cross spielten die AEG-Anwälte auch Teile von Kathrines Depositon vor in dem sie mitteilte ihr Sohn wollte nicht mehr touren und sie sei überrascht über die Ankündigung der TII-tour-gewesen. AEG führte zudem an, dass Erk nicht Jacksons rund 400 Mio. Schulden oder seinen aufwendigen Lebensstil berücksichtigt hat.

Arthur Erk, a certified public accountant who conducts royalty audits for musicians, told jurors that Jackson might have earned $1.5 billion for the shows if he had charged higher ticket prices during later shows on the "This is it" tour.

Erk said he was using conservative estimates to figure Jackson's earning potential if he had lived for several more years, completed a worldwide tour and created a Las Vegas show based on his music. The estimates took into account endorsements and royalties that Jackson could have earned and are heavily dependent on the idea that Jackson would have performed a 37-month, 260-concert world tour.

AEG Live defense attorney Sabrina Strong questioned Erk's assumption during cross-examination because Jackson had never completed a tour that long and hadn't performed a tour in more than a decade. Strong also questioned Erk about three instances where Jackson got into legal disputes over canceled performances, but the accountant said those didn't factor into his analysis.

"He needed to work," Erk said.

His testimony was meant to show jurors the superstar's earning potential in the case brought by Jackson's mother against concert promoter AEG Live LLC.

Katherine Jackson claims AEG Live is liable for her son's death because it failed to properly investigate the doctor convicted of giving the singer an anesthetic overdose.

AEG denies it hired the doctor or bears any responsibility for Jackson's June 2009 death at age 50.

Jurors heard directly from Katherine Jackson on Monday when Strong played a portion of her deposition testimony to rebut the idea her son would have embarked on a lengthy tour.

Erk's figures also account for an estimated $134 million the singer would have likely spent before retiring from show business at age 65, Erk said. He said he did not consider the fact that Jackson was an estimated $400 million in debt when he died as a factor in his future earning potential.

Strong also questioned Why Erk didn't take into account Jackson's lavish spending, which the lawyer said another witness testified in deposition consisted of $435,000 spent over two months on hotel and airfare in the early 2000s.

Jackson had signed on for only 50 shows in London, although contracts for the shows indicated a longer tour was a possibility.

Jurors will have to determine the amount of any damages in the case if they find AEG Live is liable for Jackson's death.

Erk said Jackson contemplated doing a Las Vegas show based on his music and archival footage that would have generated new royalties for the singer. He estimated the show would last 10 years.

Jackson also contemplated a film career, according to testimony from his nephew Taj Jackson and the singer's longtime creative collaborator, Kenny Ortega. Erk will not offer any estimates on how much Jackson may have earned if he had a successful film career.

Erk is testifying as an expert witness. The accountant also performed royalty audits on companies that released Jackson's music during the height of his popularity in the 1980s, he said.
