Der MJ-Estate hat eine in Verbindung mit dem Namen "Neverland Ranch " eine Reihe von Entertainment-Dienstleistungen registrieren lassen. Darunter auch die Bezeichnung "Museum" und "Museum mit anbietenden Besichtigungstouren" und "nicht herunterladbare musikal. Performances, Musik-Videos, Flim-Clips, Fotografien und anderes Multimediamaterial das musikal. und/oder visuell Michael Jackson repräsentiert." Die Neverland Ranch komme nicht Betracht so der Artikel und es sei der Beginn eines Prozesses vor der Umsetzung möglicher Pläne.


Die Fanseite MJ-Vibe hat zu dem Artikel von Musik-News ein Bild von Hayvenhurst dazugesetzt. Und ich denke es ist auch die naheliegende Vermutung in Verbindung mit solch einem Projekt das ja auch von Branca in den diversen Fan-IVs in der letzten Zeit erwähnt wurde. Ich denke es ist wirklich der Platz nach Neverland, der am ehsten für sowas in Betracht kommt und ich hoffe wirklich es gibt die Möglichkeiten und Genehmigungen dafür.

Michael Jackson’s estate has filed a trademark application for the phrase “Neverland Ranch” for a number of entertainment services, including a museum.
Executives at Triumph International, the company which handles intellectual property for the Michael Jackson estate, filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on 30 October (17) for “Neverland Ranch” – the name of the late King of Pop’s sprawling estate in California.
In the application, they list a series of entertainment services they intend to use the trademark for, including “operating museum and providing guided tours of the museum” and “non-downloadable musical performances, musical videos, film clips, photographs and other multimedia materials featuring music and/or visual representations of Michael Jackson.”
A source close to the estate has told The Blast that a museum has been discussed for some time and they are simply beginning the process of securing a name before they move ahead with any possible plans.
The actual Neverland Ranch, which is co-owned by the estate and a private equity firm, is reportedly not being considered as the site for the museum, but elements of the ranch’s design will be incorporated into the project.
Other entertainment services listed under the Neverland Ranch application include “an ongoing series featuring music and dance”, “entertainment in the nature of a continuing television drama series” as well as a comedy series and television news show, “magazine publication services”, fan club services, educational services such as classes and workshops, and recreational facilities such as art exhibitions and dance schools.
Jackson bought the property in 1988 and sold it to Colony Capital before to his death in 2009. The estate, which boasted a zoo, amusement park, two railroads and cinema, is said to have fallen into disrepair. The ranch, now called Sycamore Valley Ranch, went on the market for $100 million (£76 million) in 2016 but the price has since been dropped to $67 million (£51 million).
However, hayvenhurst might be the place for the museum! We will keep you posted on the matter…

If you planned on heading out to Hollywood to see Michael Jackson’s famous relics, don’t hold your breath — the deal has ended up in court before the doors even opened.
Richard Fossaas is a Michael Jackson superfan from Norway who claims to have traveled the world amassing a collection of over 3,000 items, including a signed “Thriller” jacket.
In a lawsuit obtained by The Blast, Fossaas says he entered into an agreement with Henry Vera to open up an MJ museum in Hollywood, with Vera securing the location in return for 30% of the business.
It turns out, Fossaas claims, Vera had no contacts that could help them find a home for the museum and the deal went belly up. He also claims Vera borrowed $20,000 and never paid it back.
Fossaas is suing to void his agreement with Vera, collect damages, and get his twenty grand back.
We reached out to Vera for comment — so far, no word back
BTW – seeing as the actual Michael Jackson estate was never involved in the deal, it’s a good chance the museum would never have seen the light of day.

Michael Jackson‘s famed Neverland Ranch will be getting new life breathed into it, because the late singer’s estate may dedicate a whole museum to the King of Pop and pay homage to his treasured home, but they’re looking for a change in venue.
According to documents filed by Triumph International, the company that handles intellectual property for the MJ estate, “Neverland Ranch” was registered on October 30 for a slew of entertainment purposes, including “operating museum and providing guided tours of the museum,” and “non-downloadable musical performances, musical videos, film clips, photographs and other multimedia materials featuring music and/or visual representations of Michael Jackson.”
TheBlast.comSources close to the estate of Michael Jackson tell The Blast the idea for a museum has been discussed for quite some time, and they needed to begin the process of securing a name as they move forward.
As for where the museum will be built, we’re told the actual Neverland Ranch — which is currently co-owned by MJ’s estate and a private equity firm — is not being considered, but the people working on the project plan to incorporate items from the original home into the design, like the front gates to the ranch.
Wherever and whatever it is, you can bet it will make a ton of money.

Neverland unfortunately cannot be open for public visitation. We wish it could. Its location and the applicable zoning regulations prohibit opening it up to the public. During his lifetime, Michael explored this possibility and was faced with the fact that it could not be done.

Why is the Estate selling Neverland and not keeping it for Michael’s children?

Neverland is managed and controlled by Colony Capital, not by the Estate. This is based on a contract Michael signed in 2008. We did explore with Colony Capital a number of potential options for Neverland, including donating it to the State of California to be preserved for historical purposes and special events, but none proved feasible and ultimately Colony decided to sell the property. Neverland has always been and will continue to be a very expensive property to maintain. Thus, without any viable option to generate income from the property, Colony’s decision to find a buyer is understandable and it is the same reason that the Estate cannot purchase the property. We trust that any new owners will respect the historical importance and special nature of this wonderful property.

Is there going to be a permanent Michael Jackson museum?

We do hope that there will be a Michael Jackson Museum. We have and will continue to explore that possibility. We are also researching the possibility that the Hayvenhurst property could be opened for limited public tours and we are optimistic about this possibility. While this is not imminent, it is something we would like to accomplish.

Bzgl. News-Artikel zur Trademark-Registrierung hat das Estate-Online-Team allerdings nun rückgemeldet, dass dies keine neuen Registrierungen sind, sondern die gleichen Markennamen, die Estate seit 2009 ausgefüllt hat. Wenn eine gewisse Zeit vergeht und sie nicht genutzt wurden verlangt das Patent eine neuen Registrierung. Das ist das was derzeit gemacht wurde.
