Wednesday, June 5, 2013 | 1:36 p.m.Tickets for “Michael Jackson One” at Mandalay Bay are moving so well that Cirque du Soleil execs have decided to advance the on-sale date for the balance of the year — even before its official gala opening June 29. Traditionally, the summer box office slows, but not at “MJ1.”
“We’re pretty well sold out with the current block we put on sale to Aug. 31. The demand is incredible. Our best-ever opening sale, and people are here nightly from all over the world. For the premiere, we will officially announce ticket sales through to Dec. 31,” I was reliably told. “The demand is there, and it will help people plan their travel and hotel plans further out.”
Even more extraordinary is that “MJ1” while in previews has been just one show a night. With the spectacular premiere and $1 million-plus Mandalay Bay Beach after-party, the production will start a two-shows-a-night schedule — 7 and 10 p.m., and the ticket demand still exceeds the seating. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2013...#ixzz2VTaglA9O
Der Ticketverkauf für die Show übertrifft die Erwartungen. Die Shows bis Ende August sind ausverkauft. Der beste Eröffnungsverkauf den es bislang gab. Die Leute sind jede Nacht aus der ganzen Welt da. Vor der Permiere soll der Ticketverkauf bis Ende Dezember bekanntgegeben werden.
Noch außergewöhnlicher ist, dass MJ1 in den Previews als 1 Show/Nacht angekündigt wurde. Mit der Premiere wird nun eine Terminierung mit 2 Shows pro Nacht starten 7 und 10 p.m. und das Ticketverlangen übertrifft immer noch die Platzzahlen. -

Jamie King sprach gestern bei Jimmy Live über die MJ-One-Show. Russal Crowe war auch dort und offenbarte das MJ mit ihm auch Prank Calls machte.

| Like 26I decided I needed to give this clip a watch after running across the below GIF of everyone’s favorite sometimes moody actor turned UFO photographer thrusting his crotch along with Jimmy Fallon. Playful/possibly-drunk Russell Crowe is my favorite version of Russell Crowe.
I have no idea how his individual — presumably Man of Steel centric — interview with Jimmy prior to this went, but when choreographer Jamie King showed up and volunteered to teach Fallon some Michael Jackson dance moves, new Jor-El was more than happy to play along.
Dance tutorial begins at the 3:00 mark, and even though Jamie King is for some inexplicable reason focused on teaching Jimmy, Russell Crowe is the student you need to be paying attention to. Dude is all sorts of bought in and playing off the crowd, even if that means a morbid sight gag here and there.
And here you go if you’re only here for the crotch grabbing pelvic thrusts.Russell Crowe variety hour stat!

Das Theater/Mandalay Bay ist viel intimer. Es ist als ob man in Michaels Kopf ist...Man wird durch die Show geleitet mit 4 Talismänner - der Hut, der Handschuh, die Glitzersocken, die Brille.
Diese haben spezielle Kräfte "Michael-Kräfte"...am Ende landen wir in Neverland, wo wir sein Leben feiern untermalt von seinen grandiosen Songs. Es ist wichtig, dass viel Akrobatik dabei ist, weil MJ das liebt-es muss aber "michaelige" Akrobatik sein.

Artist in ‘Michael Jackson One’ injured after fall to the stage
The cast members in Cirque du Soleil shows perform such otherworldly, superhuman feats of artistry, you sometime forget that these people are, well, people.
Audience members were reminded of the real, human risk in these unreal shows Wednesday night when a performer in “Michael Jackson One” at Mandalay Bay fell to the stage and was taken away in a wheelchair.
Cirque is declining to release the name of the performer, saying they are “not allowed by law” to identify artists injured while on the job. But officials did confirm reports from audience members that an aerial artist in the “Stranger in Moscow” number slipped free of the “slack rope” he uses in the acrobatic act high above his fellow performers and dropped to the stage.
He missed the spongy mat placed below the number and hit headfirst on the hardened stage.
The house lights came up immediately as the performer was prone on the stage, not moving, for several minutes. To allay confusion from the audience, an announcement was made that there would be a delay in the production while the artist was evaluated.
Stagehands surrounded the performer, a gurney and a wheelchair were brought to the stage, and the artist was taken away in the wheelchair. He was conscious, and the show resumed after the incident.
Today, a Cirque spokeswoman said the performer is expected to return to the performance, and the act is still in the show. In an email response regarding he incident, she said: “All the safety procedures were taken in support of the artist to ensure that he was quickly evaluated and taken care of. He was conscious and wheel-chaired off-stage. He was assessed by our medical personnel and was sent to a hospital for evaluation. He is now back home and resting and is suffering from a mild concussion. We are all relieved.”
The incident occurred during one of the final preview shows for the highly anticipated production. The production that replaced “Disney’s The Lion King” at Mandalay Bay Theater celebrates it world premiere Saturday night.

Die Lichter gingen unverzüglich an, als der Künstler auf der Bühne lag und sich für mehrere Minuten nicht bewegte. Um das Publikum zu beruhigen, wurde eine Ankündigung gemacht, dass es eine Verzögerung bei der Aufführung gäbe, während der Künstler untersucht wurde.
Bühnenmitarbeiter standen um den Künstler herum, eine Krankentrage und ein Rollstuhl wurden zur Bühne gebracht, und der Künstler wurde im Rollstuhl weggebracht. Er war bei Bewusstsein und die Vorstellung ging nach dem Zwischenfall weiter.
Heute sagte eine Sprecherin des Cirque, dass davon ausgegangen wird, dass der Künstler zur Aufführung zurückkehren kann, und der Act immer noch in der Show sei. In einer E-Mail-Antwort bezüglich des Vorfalles sagte sie: “Alle Sicherheitsvorkehrungen wurden zur Unterstützung des Künstlers vorgenommen, um sicherzustellen, dass er (sein Gesundheitszustand) schnell beurteilt und versorgt wurde. Er war bei Bewusstsein und wurde in einem Rollstuhl von der Bühne gebracht. Er wurde von unserem medizinischen Personal begutachtet und für weitere Untersuchungen in ein Krankenhaus gebracht. Er ist jetzt Zuhause und ruht sich aus, er hat eine leichte Gehirnerschütterung. Wir sind alle erleichtert. ”
Der Vorfall ereignete sich während einer der letzten Probeaufführungen für die hoch erwartete Aufführung. Die Aufführung, die “Disney’s The Lion King” im Mandalay Bay Theater ersetzt, feiert ihre Weltpremiere am Samstagabend.
