Boykotiertes Buch soll wieder auf dem Markt kommen

    Wie es scheint soll das im letzten Jahr erfolgreich von den Fans boykotierte Buch wieder auf dem Markt angeboten werden. Das Buch das mit Michael Werbung für Pä--------macht.
    Mit dem Boykott scheint der Autor wohl seine Werbung aufziehen zu wollen


    MICHAEL JACKSON: SABOTAGED ‘WORK OF GENIUS’ TO BE RELAUNCHED


    A controversial study of Michael Jackson's intimate friendships with young boys is being re-launched after angry fans sabotaged its debut last year.


    nternationally renowned professors of psychiatry and criminology had hailed the 624-page scholarly biography Michael Jackson's Dangerous Liaisons for its insight into the late King of Pop's tortured psyche. One even called the book a “work of genius”. But the £20 tome was dropped by publishers Troubador after a relentless five-month pre-publication campaign by fans.


    Fearing revived allegations over Jackson’s “sleepovers” with young boys, fans proved hell-bent on defending their idol's innocence. Jackson was tried on child molestation charges in 2005 and acquitted.


    The campaigners deluged Troubador with emails and attacked the company on thousands of websites, claiming Michael was about to be portrayed as a molester. This followed the appearance of the book’s blurb at online bookstore Amazon, months ahead of printing.


    "In reality the book is very sympathetic towards Michael," said author Carl Toms.


    "Did kids love him? Definitely. Did he harm them? Some of those sleepover friendships ended in tears, and Michael cannot escape responsibility for that. But the book aims to go deeper, exploring the profundity of Michael's feelings for children and their contribution to his creativity."

    Printed last April and pulled from Troubador’s lists in May, just weeks before the scheduled launch in June under the firm’s Matador imprint, Michael Jackson's Dangerous Liaisons is now distributed by Dangerous Books Ltd, and is available from www.dangerousbooks.co.uk.

    When the book was under attack, historian Professor William Armstrong Percy III leapt to its defence, proclaiming it “a work of genius”. He had been one of five scholars who had earlier given enthusiastic pre-publication endorsements. Another of them, cultural guru Professor James R. Kincaid, described Michael Jackson’s Dangerous Liaisons as, "The most engaging, informed, and generous-hearted book we have on the subject or are likely ever to have." Donald West, Emeritus Professor of Clinical Criminology at Cambridge University, said the author's "vivid and insightful commentary is a joy to read".

    :örks: ..das ist das ekligste Buch, mit Abstand...ich hasse diesen Typ, der's geschrieben hat, und mit Hilfe von Michaels Namen um Verständniss für Pä***le werben will.     Wobei diese ganzen Presserklärungen und die angegeben Adressen ja alle von denen selbst sind. Bis jetzt ist das ja keine Info von einem Verlag oder ähnliches?


    Vielleicht wäre es sinnig dem Estate wirklich hierzu mal etwas zu schreiben, eben auch zu vermiteln, dass hier mit Michael Werbung für P--- gemacht wird. Ist das MJOnline-Team auch für die Annahme und Weiterleitung solcher Rückmeldungen von Fanseite verantwortlich?

    Wann hört das denn mal endlich auf, das kann doch echt nicht wahr sein. Da gegen muss man doch was tun können, ich weiß das man nicht einfach einen Öffentlichen Namen nehmen darf und damit alles Schreiben darf.
    Ich wäre dafür dem Estate darauf aufmerksam zu machen sollte es wirklich so sein das dass Buch wieder auf den Markt kommt. Jetzt is mir auch schlecht

    Das mit dem Estate ist eine gute Idee.
    Und sollte dieses Buch echt wieder auf den Markt kommen, sollten die Fans auch zeigen, dass sie immer noch nicht bereit sind es hinzunehmen, dass Michaels Name von diesem Idioten benutzt wird, um Werbung für Pädophilie zu machen. Wo kommen wir denn da hin, sagt mal? Wenn jetzt sogar schon Professoren so ein Buch toll finden. Wie tief können Menschen denn noch sinken? Das Buch ist ja nicht nur widerwärtig, weil der Autor Michaels Namen verwendet, sondern eben auch weil es da so hingestellt wird, als wäre Pädophilie vollkommen okay. Und das kanns ja wohl nicht sein!
